Highlander Law is a leading Southern Highlands law firm located in the heart of Bowral.

At Highlander Law we care about the person and provide timely, clear and practical advice which allows complex legal journeys to be navigated with clarity.
Hugh McAulay and Neville Hesford were childhood friends, growing up in neighbouring towns in the Southern Highlands.
After completing his studies and working in a variety of practice areas in the Australian Capital Territory, Neville returned with his family to the Southern Highlands in 2015. Hugh returned to the Southern Highlands with his family in 2021 when the opportunity arose for him and Neville to acquire a local law firm in Bowral.
Over the next few years Neville, Hugh and their team developed a strong reputation in the community for their caring approach and excellent legal services. Their areas of service included the sale and purchase of residential property, commercial leasing, sale and purchase of business, estate planning, and probate and the administration of deceased estates.
In 2022 Hugh and Neville started servicing the Goulburn and Southern Tablelands regions following the retirement of Mark Howard.
In 2024 Hugh and Neville made the decision to commence trading as Highlander Law as they wanted a clearer acknowledgement of their commitment to the Southern Highlands region.
Having grown up in the area, Neville and Hugh appreciate the Southern Highlands is made up of many unique communities; stretching from Hill Top in the north down to Wingello in the south, and from Canyonleigh in the west across to Robertson in the east.l
